Kish Offshore Wind Limited and Bray Offshore Wind Limited, joint venture companies owned by RWE Renewables Ireland and Saorgus Energy have submitted an application for planning permission to An Bord Pleanála for the construction, operation and decommissioning of the Dublin Array project, an offshore wind farm consisting of wind turbine generators in the Irish Sea off the coasts of Counties Dublin and Wicklow. Offshore and onshore electrical transmission infrastructure will connect the generating station to the shore and to the Irish national electricity transmission grid at Jamestown, Dublin 18. A proposed Operations and Maintenance Base will be located at Dún Laoghaire Harbour.
